Horses and History: An Afternoon at the Monastery Stables

An afternoon of horse people, horse history, and horses!

  • Dr. David Contosta, co-author of “Metropolitan Paradise: The Struggle for Nature in the City” will discuss the area of the Wissahickon in which the Monastery stables are located.
  • Dr. Nancy Peter will read from and sign copies of her recent book, “Twenty Horses.”
  • There will be outdoor horse demonstrations, light refreshments, and a silent auction.

There is no fee, although donations are appreciated.
RSVPs are preferred, but walk-ins are welcome.
